SuperStar Awards

SuperStar Awards are a great introduction to problem-solving in STEM. They offer children the opportunity to learn through hands-on challenges by exploring the world around them. Anyone can run these activities – we provide lots of advice and tips to help you get the most out of CREST.

Typical age

7-11

Time to complete

6-8 x 1 hour challenges

Entry fee per child: Free Wales / £1 rest of UK / £5 international

We are only able to accept a minimum order of 5 SuperStar Awards in UK (increasing to 10 in September 2024) and a minimum order of 10 SuperStar Awards internationally. This means that purchase orders below these amounts will either be readjusted to these totals or refunded.

The challenge

The children will complete six to eight SuperStar activities and record these in their CREST SuperStar passport. Each one takes around an hour and involves solving a real-world problem.

The outcome

The children develop their investigative and teamwork skills. After completing all eight challenges, each child will receive a CREST SuperStar certificate.

Recognition

Log into the online platform and record the activities completed to get your students’ certificates.

You can download activities and challenge packs from our resource library and our partners. Each comes with all the information needed to run the activity.
